At it Again in 2009!

Please support me as I take my third amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.

We must commit to raising $2300.00 when we sign up for this special event. In 2007, I raised $2450, and in 2008 $2900. This year, with your help, I hope to raise at least $3000.

INSPIRATION

I decided to finally do something last year with the inspiration of my aunt's battle with this disease starting 6 years ago. I had heard the ads throughout the previous years and knew that it was time. The day after I signed up, my other aunt, my mother's sister, was diagnosed and it just cemented the certainty that this was the right thing to do. Thankfully, they have both won their battles with this awful disease.

I go past a sign on a daily basis that reads, "Individually we are one drop, but together we are an ocean." I'm hoping that all of us "drops" will make the difference that we're striving for!
